Steve Cowley
Cinematographer
Steve Cowley (Nehiyaw) was born and raised in northern Canada at the Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Steve gained his Indian Fine Arts degree at the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College (now First Nations University of Canada). He has been a resident in NYC since 1993. While employed by the American Indian Community's House's Employment and Training Program. He was awarded the Department of Labor's National Indian and Native American and Training Conference's Alice Bigpond Roach Memorial Award for his outstanding commitment and service to the Native community in NYC. Steve has an extensive background in digital arts including videography and digital editing skills ( mostly self Taught). He was also a news reporter for his towns newspaper where he picked up his photojournalism skills he uses to this day. Check hisYouTube videos @ Cree315
